Stella, our new family member | San Diego Birth Photographer

She was a little timid when we first met her, but soon warmed up to us and stole our hearts in a matter of minutes! We found our sweet Stella a few weeks ago at the San Diego Animal Shelter, and brought her home two days later after she’d been spayed. It looks as though she’s had puppies at some stage, and I wonder what her life must’ve been like before she came home with us….. I hope she starts eating soon, I think being a stray and then a Shelter dog was hard on her. We know she has sensitive stomach as she doesn’t do car rides well (read – she throws up every time).

Here she is. I’ve had people tell me she looks a little like the flying dog, Falcor, in “The Neverending Story”. What do you think?

Picking up where you left off… | San Diego Birth Photographer

The problem with having family all over the world, is that you don’t get to see them very often. But I’m happy and proud to say that the bond in our family is very strong, and when someone visits, it’s as though we just saw each other last week. We just pick up where we left off.

My brother, David, works on the ship called THE WORLD. He’s been aboard for almost 5 years and has truly traveled and seen the world, some places that us regular people can only dream of. When he’s onboard, he works 7 days a week for 3 months straight, I would imagine not that easy at times. My kids always look forward to Uncle David’s visits, since he’s the only one of my family that resides in the States. There’s always tons of laughter, silliness and slow motion high fives! Oh, and dance lessons…
